Questions owners ask

Do I need new hardware?

It depends on what you already have. gofood runs on an Android tablet and needs a thermal printer. With the POS, you'll also need a cash drawer and a card terminal. We help you set everything up, and can help you buy new hardware if you need it.

Who handles card payments?

We work with two major payment providers that integrate with gofood. We can go through the details with you if you're interested.

What happens to my data when you update?

Every update backs up your database first and checks it afterwards. If a check fails, the update stops and the old version keeps running.

What counts as a staff terminal?

Any tablet or computer signed in to your gofood admin, like the counter or the back office. Every plan includes 2. Each extra terminal is $15 CAD a month.

What do the add-ons cost?

You can add either one to any plan: the AI ordering assistant is $39.99 CAD a month, and email and text marketing is $29.99 CAD a month. Loyalty rewards and Google review emails come with the Complete plan.

Is there a contract?

No. You pay month to month. The one exception is the Complete promotion: the $79.99 price needs a 12-month sign-up, and you keep that price after the 12 months.
